A rare python unexpectedly crawled into a resident's garden in Vinh Phu village (Ho Do commune, Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province). Residents and authorities subsequently captured it and handed it over for release back into its natural habitat.

On the morning of June 20th, the Loc Ha District Forest Management Unit (Ha Tinh province), in coordination with local authorities and relevant agencies, completed the procedures to hand over a rare python to Vu Quang National Park for continued monitoring and care before its release back into its natural forest environment.

This python, weighing approximately 32kg and measuring about 4m in length ( scientific name: Python molurus), is listed as an endangered and rare forest animal, belonging to group IIB and included in the Red Book of Vietnamese animals. It needs to be protected and conserved; illegal hunting, exploitation, and trading are strictly prohibited.

Earlier, at around 8:30 PM on June 19th, this python unexpectedly crawled into a resident's garden in Vinh Phu village (Ho Do commune, Loc Ha district). Upon discovery, residents reported the incident to the local authorities, and relevant agencies arrived at the scene, coordinating efforts to protect the python and capture it in an iron cage.

Afterward, the python was taken to the headquarters of the Ho Do Commune People's Committee to complete the procedures for handing it over to the relevant authorities for reintroduction into its natural environment.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Man, Head of the Loc Ha District Forest Protection Department, this is the heaviest and longest python ever discovered in Loc Ha district.

According to local information, for many years, numerous households in Ho Do commune have lost many chickens and ducks for unknown reasons, and it is possible that this python is the culprit.
