Tran Nu Yen Khe received nomination for France's Cesar Award

The culinary film The Taste of Things directed by Tran Anh Hung (which missed out on an Oscar nomination on January 23) received 3 Cesar nominations but no nominations in the main categories. In addition to the category of Outstanding Costume Design, The Taste of Things received 2 more nominations: Outstanding Cinematography (Jonathan Ricquebourg) and Outstanding Production Design (Toma Baquéni).

Nominees for Best Picture include: Anatomy of a Fall, Junkyard Dog, All Your Faces, The Goldman Case, Animal Kingdom. Best Director: Justine Triet (Anatomy of a Fall), Catherine Breillat (Last Summer), Jeanne Herry (All Your Faces), Cédric Khan (The Goldman Case), Thomas Cailley (Animal Kingdom).

Best Actor/Actress: Romain Duris, Benjamin Lavernhe, Melvil Poupaud, Raphaël Quenard, Arieh Worthalter, Marion Cotillard, Léa Drucker, Virginie Efira, Hafsia Herzi and Sandra Hüller.

Oscar nominee Oppenheimer with 13 categories received a Cesar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film and Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan will receive an honorary Cesar for lifetime achievement.

The 2024 Cesar Awards ceremony will be held in Paris on February 23.
