According to Dispatch , the production team of the drama "The Sword - Rebirth of the Red Wolf" released its first global teaser on May 7th, revealing Park Bo Gum's strikingly different look as a Goguryeo warrior.
The promotional poster features the names of the actors, including Park Bo Gum, Joo Won, Tran Thanh, Jung Jae Young, and Lee Sun Bin. "Thank you to director Kim Han Min for trusting me and inviting me to play a role in this major project! I look forward to the day this film is released in Korea and internationally, including Vietnam," Tran Thanh shared.

Filming began in March and the film is currently in production with a target release date of 2027. This is a large-scale historical action project set immediately after the fall of the Goguryeo dynasty, telling the story of a warrior who loses his memory, becomes a slave, and is then drawn into a tournament to seize a legendary sword.
In the film, Tran Thanh plays Sol In Gwi (Xue Ren Gui), the commander-in-chief of the An Dong Protectorate during the Tang Dynasty, a powerful figure who influenced the political landscape in the northern region.
To embody the character, he had to learn three languages: Chinese (Classical Chinese), Turkic, and Mongolian. "I am honored to be a part of a Korean blockbuster. I will try my best not to disappoint the film-loving audience and the fans who have supported me throughout my two decades in the profession," the actor said.

The released poster depicts the character Chilseong, played by Park Bo Gum. After losing his memory and being exiled as a slave following the fall of Goguryeo, he participates in a deadly sword tournament that ties the fate of 16 northern tribes.
The teaser shows Chilseong facing a moment of awakening, abandoning a life of mere survival and beginning to rediscover his true self. The phrase "Rebirth of the red wolf" hints at the harsh journey of survival that will unfold in the film.
Under the direction of director Kim Han Min, Park Bo Gum underwent a transformation with long hair, a goatee, and a fierce gaze, portraying the harsh life of the character Chilseong.
This project also marks the return of director Kim Han Min to the action-packed martial arts genre after a series of popular works such as * The Great Battle of Noryang - Dead Sea* , *The Great Naval Battle* , *Hansan Island Naval Battle: Rise of the Dragon*... The film is expected to be released in South Korea and many international markets such as Japan and Vietnam.
