The third quarter-final match of the program “English Window” season 2 brought the audience an exciting confrontation between two teams from Thanh Sen ward, namely iSchool Ha Tinh Primary - Secondary - High School team with contestants Vo Thanh Ha, Truong Phuoc Thien, Dao Xuan Tung and Nguyen Du Secondary School with contestants Nguyen Pham Bao Ha, Vo Minh Phuc, Truong Viet Ha.
Right in the first round - "Quick Eyes", the two teams created a thrilling score chase. With quickness and decisiveness, the contestants continuously gave answers in the first seconds. As a result, the iSchool Ha Tinh team scored 25 points with 5 correct answers, while the Nguyen Du team was not far behind with 20 points from 4 correct answers.
Moving on to the second round - "Quick Mind", the contestants presented in English with the topic: "Improving life in the digital age - Understanding, safety, mastery".
Vo Thanh Ha, representing the iSchool Ha Tinh team, gave an impressive presentation on the topic “The dark side of social media – are you in control or being controlled?”. With a concise content, fluent presentation and excellent answers to the supplementary questions, the team won an additional 29 points, bringing the total score to 54.
Not to be outdone, Nguyen Pham Bao Ha - representative of Nguyen Du Secondary School also delivered a confident and coherent presentation with clear arguments and profound messages. In particular, her excellent answers to the supplementary questions helped her team win a full 30 points, bringing the total score to 50, significantly narrowing the gap with the other team.
The heat of the match was pushed up in the final round - "Quick Hands". With great determination, the two teams continuously rang the bell, giving quick and accurate answers. As one of the rare times in the history of the program, both teams opened all 6 boxes and answered all correctly, each team won 30 more points - bringing the total score to 84 (iSchool Ha Tinh team) and 80 (Nguyen Du team).
In the 40-point mystery crossword puzzle related to the type of vehicle that has priority on the road, just a split second after MC Tuan Anh finished reading the question, Nguyen Du Secondary School team rang the bell and gave the correct answer: “Fire truck”. The correct answer brought a spectacular victory with a total score of 120, officially bringing Nguyen Du Secondary School team to the semi-finals, and marking one of the most spectacular comebacks on the show.
The match ended in resounding applause at S2 studio – Ha Tinh Newspaper, leaving many emotions and deep impressions on the judges and the audience.
