On the morning of November 7th, during an art exchange program leading up to the 31st Mai Vàng Awards organized by the Người Lao Động newspaper, artist Trang Bích Liễu moved the audience when she sang an excerpt from the play "Bên cầu dệt lụa" (Weaving Silk by the Bridge ).
Listening to Trang Bich Lieu sing, I remember the late artist Thanh Tu.
During the program on the morning of November 7th, the organizers presented Ms. Trang Bich Lieu with the Golden Apricot Blossom Award for Compassion . Upon receiving the award, Ms. Lieu was moved to tears, knowing that she was still remembered and loved by everyone.
She sang a short segment as the young lady Quynh Nga in the play "Weaving Silk by the Bridge" . At nearly 80 years old, Trang Bich Lieu said that she had tried very hard to sing like that.
The lyrics transport people back to the memories of old Cai Luong opera, with the hugely popular play "By the Bridge Weaving Silk ," which launched the careers of many artists such as Thanh Nga, Thanh Sang, Xuan Lan, Chi Hieu, Bao Quoc, Hung Minh, and others.
Among them, we cannot fail to mention artist Thanh Tú in the role of Nhuận Điền, a role considered irreplaceable and a defining role in Thanh Tú's career.

The late artist Thanh Tú was the husband of Trang Bích Liễu. While Thanh Tú was rising to prominence on the cải lương (Vietnamese traditional opera) stage and the silver screen, Trang Bích Liễu was a promising young actress.
They had to overcome so many obstacles to be together. They have walked together through the joys and sorrows, the ups and downs of life and their careers.
They had tried their hand at managing a business, which failed, and then switched to other ventures, which also failed. In his final days, Thanh Tú found comfort in having Trang Bích Liễu by his side, taking care of him.
