Martyr Chang Van Guyen was born in 2000 in Phuong Thien commune, Ha Giang city, Ha Giang province (now Ha Giang 1 ward, Tuyen Quang province). Throughout his career, he consistently performed his assigned duties excellently, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility to the Fatherland and the People. On May 16, 2024, he sacrificed his life while on duty in the border area. He was posthumously awarded the title of Martyr and a Certificate of Recognition from the Fatherland.
At the ceremony, the relatives of the fallen soldier were presented with the Certificate of Recognition from the Fatherland and the decision recognizing him as a fallen soldier. This is a profound recognition and gratitude from the Party, the State, and the People for the noble sacrifice of fallen soldier Chang Van Guyen.
Speaking at the ceremony, the leader of Ha Giang 1 ward emphasized: The sacrifice of martyr Chang Van Guyen is a source of pride for the homeland, a beautiful symbol of courage, responsibility, and patriotism. The local Party committee and government are committed to continuing to care for the lives of the families of martyrs and those who have contributed to the revolution, so that the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source" continues to be preserved and spread in the community.
