This activity is part of a series of events celebrating the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, term 2024-2029.

The Provincial Red Cross Society awarded scholarships for the first quarter of 2024 to 104 students. Each student received a scholarship worth 3 million VND. In addition, the People's Committee and the Red Cross Society of Thu Dau Mot City also presented each student with an additional gift worth 400,000 VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province, presented scholarships to the students.

This year, the Provincial Red Cross Society plans to implement a scholarship program for disadvantaged students at risk of dropping out of school throughout the province. Accordingly, 1,025 scholarships will be awarded with a total value of 12.3 billion VND, each scholarship worth 12 million VND per year.

Scholarships will be awarded quarterly to the students. In Thu Dau Mot City alone, 124 students received scholarships, totaling nearly 1.5 billion VND.
