Donating breeding cows to farmers.

For many ethnic minority households, a cow has long been a valuable asset, a lifelong savings. Therefore, when they received the breeding cows, they couldn't hide their emotion. Holding the rope to lead the cow home, Ms. Ho Thi Hong (Ka Va village) said: "We are only used to farming, raising a few chickens and ducks; buying a cow was something we never dared to dream of. Now that we have breeding cows, and the soldiers have shown us how to raise them and build a barn, I believe we will escape poverty and our children will be able to go to school." That joy also spread in the eyes and smiles of the children excitedly running around the new herd of cows. For many families, this is not just livestock, but a symbol of hope for a new beginning.

Unlike typical support models, the 92nd Economic-Defense Brigade places special emphasis on providing technical guidance to help people learn how to care for and effectively utilize the support provided by the breeding cows. Before the handover, officers, staff, and young volunteer intellectuals from the 92nd Economic-Defense Brigade went to each village, working with the people to build barns, clear land for planting grass, and disseminate information on feed selection and the prevention and treatment of common diseases in cattle.

Mr. Truong Toan Thang, Head of the Economic Department of A Luoi 4 Commune, said: "The significance here is not only about supporting livestock, but also about helping people change their mindset in production and animal husbandry. People learn to apply new techniques, unite and support each other, forming a sustainable economic development model. The commune government coordinates with the 92nd Economic-Defense Brigade to monitor and support people in caring for their cattle herds, so that the program truly brings long-term effectiveness."

According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Phuc, Deputy Head of the 92nd Economic-Defense Brigade, this time the unit handed over 120 breeding cows and many essential agricultural supplies to poor households in A So - A Luoi area, within the framework of the socio-economic development project for ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021 - 2030. He also emphasized: "We consider the handover of cows as just the beginning; more importantly, we will accompany the people in the long term, from providing technical guidance and monitoring the breeding process until the herd grows well. With the motto 'Soldiers eat together, live together, work together, and help the people develop together,' we hope the people will feel secure in their production and have faith in the Party, the State, and the Army."
