The Conference was connected online to the Party Committees of communes and wards in the whole province.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Dang Binh emphasized: The election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, taking place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the first General Election, will continue the country's democratic source, affirm the strength of national unity, and bring the country to steady development in the new era. Up to now, the election preparation work has been seriously implemented; departments, branches and localities have issued documents to lead, direct and implement in accordance with regulations; 92/92 communes and wards have established election steering committees and commune-level election committees, ensuring the overall progress of the province.

There are about 4 months left from now until the election day on March 15, 2026, while the amount of work to be carried out is huge, with very high requirements. This election has many important new points, being the first time it has been implemented when the local government operates under a two-tier model; the election time is shortened compared to the previous term, 2 months earlier, and at the same time, the steps in the election process are shortened. Therefore, agencies, units and localities need to urgently and fully grasp the documents, resolutions and directives of the Politburo , the National Assembly, the Government, the National Election Council and the directives of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee.
At the Conference, the following contents were deployed: Directive of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman and Plan of the Provincial Election Committee; instructions on determining the expected structure, composition, and number of candidates recommended for election to People's Councils at all levels; personnel work for National Assembly and People's Council deputies; consultation on selection and introduction of candidates, organization of voter consultation; instructions on granting seals to organizations in charge of elections; work on ensuring security, order, and propaganda for the election...

Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong gave a speech at the Conference

Speaking at the Conference, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong requested all levels, branches, agencies, units, communes and wards in the whole province to clearly understand the Party's policies and viewpoints and the work contents related to the election work as stated in the documents, legal regulations, instructions of the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Election Steering Committee. Closely follow the progress, proactively implement, and prepare well the conditions to successfully organize the election on March 15, 2026 and announce the election results in accordance with regulations.

Regarding personnel work, it is necessary to determine the number of provincial People's Council delegates and commune and ward People's Council delegates to report to competent authorities to prepare for the first consultation; at the same time, prepare to introduce specific personnel to ensure standards and conditions according to regulations and must be truly representative and worthy to run for National Assembly deputies and People's Council delegates at all levels. Along with that, organize the reception of candidate profiles, evaluate personnel according to regulations. During the election process, it is necessary to organize the election in accordance with the provisions of law, must have the right structure of delegates and choose the right people who are truly representative and worthy in the process of participating as National Assembly deputies and People's Council delegates at all levels. In addition, it is necessary to promote propaganda associated with emulation movements, forums, and online competitions on election law. Political security and social order must be strengthened, applying information technology to ensure network information security, not leaking data.
Emphasizing that the time from now until the election day is still short, comrade Trinh Xuan Truong requested all levels and sectors to urgently start performing their tasks, while promptly removing difficulties at the grassroots level, ensuring conditions for the successful organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
