Implementing the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 11 laws on military and national defense

(Chinhphu.vn) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed Decision 1791/QD-TTg dated August 21, 2025 promulgating the Plan to implement the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 11 laws on military and national defense.

The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of 11 laws on military and national defense No. 98/2025/QH15 (hereinafter referred to as the Law) was passed by the 15th National Assembly at the 9th Session on June 27, 2025; effective from July 1, 2025. To implement it promptly, consistently and effectively, the Prime Minister promulgates the Plan for implementing the Law.

The plan aims to ensure unified direction of the Government and Prime Minister ; close, regular and effective coordination between ministries, branches, localities and relevant agencies and organizations in implementing the Law.

Determine the responsibilities and coordination mechanisms among ministries, branches and localities in carrying out activities to implement the Law nationwide.

Raising awareness of the Law and the responsibility of ministries, branches, localities and people in implementing the Law.

Regarding content, the Plan clearly states that for the remaining time of 2025 and the following years, the Ministry of National Defense will compile documents to serve the work of disseminating and educating the law; training documents, and professional development.

In the last 6 months of 2025, the Ministry of National Defense shall review legal documents related to the Law under its assigned state management authority; implement according to its authority or propose to competent authorities to promptly amend, supplement, replace, abolish or issue new legal documents to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Law.

Regarding the drafting of documents detailing and guiding the implementation of the Law, the Ministry of National Defense shall comply with Decision No. 1526/QD-TTg dated July 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister promulgating the List and assigning the agency in charge of drafting documents detailing the implementation of laws and resolutions passed by the 15th National Assembly at the 9th Session.
