On January 23, in Ha Long city ( Quang Ninh ), Quang Ninh Museum coordinated with Vietnam Fine Arts Museum to organize the thematic exhibition "Spring colors through the collection of Vietnamese folk paintings".

With three main spaces, the exhibition displays 20 sets of folk paintings depicting five themes: Four Gentlemen, To Nu, Four People, Eight Immortals, story paintings and historical paintings selected from the folk painting collection currently kept at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.
The paintings with bright, fresh colors and profound meanings about life will be wishes of peace and happiness sent to art lovers on the occasion of the new spring.
Within the framework of the exhibition, the organizers also arranged spaces to experience Dong Ho folk paintings on Do paper for visitors to the exhibition and students in Ha Long city to experience. In particular, the space to recreate the memories of Vietnamese Tet with the strong imprint of the old Tet displayed through old objects from the 70s, 80s and 90s of the 20th century has created a strong highlight for visitors to enjoy checking in and reminiscing about a memorable time.

Mr. Do Quyet Tien, Director of Quang Ninh Museum said: The exhibition "Spring colors through the collection of Vietnamese folk paintings" aims to preserve and promote the values of Vietnamese folk cultural heritage, create a space for enjoying and experiencing art, and at the same time bring folk paintings closer to compatriots, people and tourists at home and abroad.

Through the exhibition, the cooperation and exchange of professional and technical activities between the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum and Quang Ninh Museum are promoted in the work of displaying and introducing heritage to the public. The thematic exhibition is also an activity in the series of activities to celebrate the Party - Celebrate the Spring of Giap Thin in 2024, while bringing the traditional Tet atmosphere to serve the cultural enjoyment needs of the public and domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Quang Ninh Museum.
