The 2026 Science and Technology Book Fair promotes a digital reading culture.

DNVN - The 2026 Science and Technology Book Exhibition is organized using a model that combines books, data, and interactive technology, aiming to promote a digital reading culture, spread scientific knowledge, and contribute to building a knowledge ecosystem serving the digital nation.

In response to Vietnam's Science , Technology and Innovation Day on May 18th, the 2026 Science and Technology Book Exhibition, themed "Knowledge - Building a Digital Nation," was held at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology. The event was organized by the Information and Statistics Department in collaboration with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology and the Science, Technology and Communications Publishing House.

This year's exhibition is organized with an integrated approach combining books, data, technology, and interactive experiences to promote a reading culture in the digital environment, while disseminating scientific and technological knowledge to the community, especially young people and students.

According to Mr. Dang Hoai Bac, Director of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, the exhibition is built on an open model, combining academic content with technological experiences to create a modern and vibrant space for participants to access knowledge.

The highlight of the event is a series of thematic spaces connecting scientific knowledge with digital technology . In particular, the "Journey of Scientific and Technological Knowledge" space showcases exemplary scientific publications, ranging from traditional printed materials to academic databases and modern digital resources, recreating the process of knowledge formation and dissemination through various periods of development.

The technology demonstration and experience space attracted significant student interest with numerous applications such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR), robotics, STEM activities, and digital transformation solutions developed by the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology. Visitors had the opportunity to directly experience technologies that are predicted to shape the future.

In addition, the digital resource space showcases domestic and international scientific database systems serving the research, training, and innovation community. Many large academic data sources such as ScienceDirect, SpringerNature, IEEE, ProQuest, and SAGE are featured at the exhibition.

Within the framework of the event, the Director of the Department of Information and Statistics, Tran Dac Hien, also announced the addition of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology to the list of units benefiting from the ScienceDirect database of Elsevier Publishing. According to experts, this is an important learning resource that contributes to improving the quality of research and international scientific publications.

The exhibition also features various interactive and experiential activities such as the launch of the book collection "Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation," book introduction seminars, mini-games to learn about science and technology, STEM activities, and experiences with digital data platforms.

According to experts, combining books, data, and technology in the same experiential space not only contributes to promoting a reading culture but also creates an environment for knowledge sharing, innovation, and digital transformation within the research community, among students, and young people today.
