Colonel Nguyen Thu Huong: The indoor exhibition space of the Ministry of National Defense is organized with the theme "Vietnam People's Army - 80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", with a total area of ​​702m², displaying 334 products. The content is divided into 5 areas, showing the entire history of building and defending the country of the nation, closely linked to the process of building, fighting, growing and modernizing the Vietnam People's Army.

Specifically, in Area 1 - Heroic Origin, we will explore historical periods from the early 20th century to the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the success of the August Revolution. This is evidence of the birth of the Vietnam People's Army under the leadership and education of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, along with the nurturing and protection of the people.

Moving to Area 2 - Growing up through the fire and bullets, are images and artifacts of the years of resistance against the French and the Americans. With the Party's people's war policy, the Vietnam People's Army fought and built the country, defeating many major campaigns. Especially two brilliant milestones: the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu in 1954 and the great victory of the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975 successfully completed the journey of fighting for national liberation, liberating the South, and unifying the country.

Here, we can experience virtual reality (VR) technology to recreate the heroic atmosphere of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, vividly recreating the victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world". In addition, we can explore the Cu Chi tunnels. With about 250km of tunnels, this tunnel is a unique wonder of war, becoming a legend of the 20th century. Or the 3D graphic images have recreated the missile battlefield, anti-aircraft artillery, enemy B52 aircraft and our Mig21 aircraft, recreating the "Hanoi-Dien Bien Phu in the air" Victory. This victory is a testament to the strength of national unity and the Party's talented leadership...

Coming to Area 3 with the theme "Building a revolutionary-regular-elite-modern Army", the public is introduced to the 3 functions and tasks of the Army: the combat army, the working army, the production labor army; along with that, the process of building a revolutionary, regular, elite, modern Army through outstanding defense industrial products is introduced.

In Zone 4, with the theme "Growing with the country", modern weapons and technical equipment researched and produced by the Vietnamese defense industry are displayed, including weapons, missile models, radars, high-tech, economic, dual-use products; technological solutions, digital transformation.

Notably, Zone 5 is an interactive, technology-experience area. For the first time, advanced technologies such as 3D Mapping, Hologram, VR are applied synchronously to display outstanding documentary images through historical periods; reenact the Dien Bien Phu battle in the air, driving on the Truong Son road without glasses and modern combat operations, to increase interaction and create a deep impression for visitors... Along with that, a shooting experience area is arranged by the Military Industry-Telecom Group and the Military Technical Academy.

Colonel Nguyen Thu Huong: The outdoor area with the theme "Sword and Shield" is hosted by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security. Of which, the part of the Ministry of National Defense is responsible for a scale of up to 23,569m², a large space demonstrating the combat strength and modernization level of our Army. The exhibition organizers of the Ministry of National Defense display 96 products belonging to 61 types of equipment; arrange the blocks of weapons and equipment according to tactics and combat art, highlighting the features of the weapons and equipment on display. The outdoor exhibition space is divided into 8 areas, with one operating area and 7 weapon and equipment areas including: Navy, Air Defense - Air Force; Electronic warfare, Communications; Ground artillery, self-propelled artillery; Special equipment... In addition, at the "Aspiration for the Sky" area, the Ministry of National Defense assigned the 18th Army Corps to display helicopters - a symbol of the aspiration to dominate the sky, reach high and modernize the air force.

Colonel Nguyen Thu Huong: The exhibition space of the Ministry of National Defense is not only a place to display weapons, equipment, technical equipment or military history, but more importantly, it is a place to inspire, arouse patriotism, educate the spirit of national pride and a sense of responsibility to protect the Fatherland from an early age, from afar.

The exhibition is also an opportunity for the Vietnam People's Army to affirm its mettle, intelligence, and maturity, and is a living testament to President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: "Our army is loyal to the Party, filial to the people, and ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland."

According to preliminary statistics, in just the first 3 days of opening, the Ministry of National Defense's exhibition area welcomed an average of 200,000 visitors per day. This impressive number is a vivid testament to the people's deep affection, concern and love for the Vietnam People's Army.
