Through the investigation, the Economic Police Department initially determined: At the end of 2024, Nguyen Van Khanh realized that customers needed to consume many types of cosmetics, so he came up with the idea of producing fake cosmetics to sell for profit. Khanh went online to learn about some popular body deodorants, acne serums, and skin whitening products, then ordered fake labels and packaging for these products. Khanh bought machinery, raw materials, tools, bottles, etc. and produced them at home to sell to the national market. The main ingredients used were solutions, mixed flavors of unknown origin, and alum powder bought illegally on the market.
The finished products are sold on e-commerce platforms Shopee and Tiktok, and when there are buyers, they are sent for sale via COD shipping service. Since the end of 2024, Khanh has successfully sold over 100,000 orders to customers in provinces and cities across the country, with a revenue of over 6 billion VND.
The Investigation Police Agency of Bac Giang Provincial Police is continuing to investigate, verify and expand the case to handle according to regulations.
