In September, Ninh Binh welcomed nearly 415,000 tourists.

In early September, Typhoon No. 3 somewhat affected tourism activities in Ninh Binh. However, thanks to the high level of focus from all levels and sectors, tourism activities in the province have been maintained stably.

In September, numerous cultural activities and festivals were organized at tourist areas and destinations, such as the Tam Coc Culinary Culture Festival, evening cultural performances in Hoa Lu Ancient Town, and the development of the new Golden Pagoda tourist site. Notably, during this period, the province ensured a safe and thoughtful reception for a group of 5,500 Indian tourists visiting the Trang An Eco-tourism Area; and successfully organized the "National Costume" and "Hello Cosmo Fashion Show" events as part of the Miss Cosmo 2024 competition in Ninh Binh… These activities contributed to providing tourists with impressive experiences of the cultural and historical beauty of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu in particular, and the country and people of Vietnam in general.

It is estimated that in September, the number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions in the area reached nearly 415,000, an increase of 25.4% compared to the same period last year. The number of guests staying at accommodation establishments is estimated at over 121,900, an increase of 3.54%. Tourism revenue in September is estimated at over 498 billion VND, an increase of 15.3% compared to the same period last year.

Thus, in the past nine months, the number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions in the province reached nearly 7,297 thousand, an increase of more than 32% compared to the same period last year, achieving nearly 97.3% of the 2024 plan. Of this, the number of visitors staying at accommodation facilities is estimated at over 1,506 thousand, more than 1.5 times higher, and the number of visitor nights is estimated at over 1,702 thousand, an increase of 33.8%.

Reportedly, in 2024, Ninh Binh's tourism industry aims to welcome 8,482,000 visitors, a 25.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Of this number, accommodation establishments are expected to welcome over 1,914,000 visitors, a 39% increase; tourism revenue is estimated at over 8,885.8 billion VND, a 35.8% increase compared to the previous year.
