Immediately after receiving the order to participate in the national parade, the Party Committee and Command of Regiment 917 organized a serious dissemination, carefully selected the force, organized the assignment of tasks and closely coordinated, and carried out all preparations well. At the same time, it was determined that this was not only a central and especially important political task, but also a great honor, an opportunity to demonstrate the position, prestige and mettle of the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Air Force in peacetime.

The long-distance march, through many different climates and terrains, places high demands on the preparation of flight crews and security forces. Each flight crew member and flight crew must have a firm grasp of the plan, meteorological characteristics, terrain, and flight conditions in each area, coordinate well in handling unforeseen situations, and ensure absolute safety for each flight. In addition, security work, flight preparation, as well as technical-logistical coordination, communication plans with official airports, alternate airports, and landing sites along the flight route, and aircraft reception upon landing are also meticulously prepared and carefully carried out... ensuring absolute safety in all aspects.

Journey of 1,700km - The courage of Southern pilots

Promoting the results from the A50 mission, the 917th Regiment continued to affirm the spirit of "going out to win", highlighting the 50-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the unit. With high determination, the flight crews, technical teams, and support forces of the Regiment were carefully selected, organized elaborate training, closely coordinated and deployed on both land (specialized vehicles) and air (Helicopters Mi-171, Mi-8, Casa transport aircraft) according to the approved plan.

The entire journey of more than 1,700km from Can Tho to Hoa Lac ( Hanoi ) was carried out strictly, according to plan, on schedule and ensuring absolute safety, despite the hot weather conditions, complex terrain, with many difficulties and challenges, even having to stop in the Central region to refuel... This is a testament to the strategic mobility and regular strength of a combat helicopter unit, a heroic unit of the People's Armed Forces stationed in the South.

Practice hard - High sense of responsibility

Immediately after landing safely at Hoa Lac Airport, the forces of Regiment 917 quickly stabilized their positions, continued to deploy all preparations and entered the mass training phase, according to the plan of the General Staff. The focus was on training the Air Force formation, especially the flight demonstration and formation flying events that required high precision and absolute synchronization, ensuring the correct criteria: in the upcoming parade.

The technical force and other support units of the Regiment also clearly determined to enter a period of high work intensity, regularly conducting thorough and comprehensive inspections of each aircraft complex, every smallest technical detail, ensuring that all equipment, vehicles and people are in the highest state of readiness, serving well the training process and official flights.

Participating in the A80 mission this time is an opportunity for Regiment 917 to continue affirming its position as one of the core forces of the Vietnam People's Air Force, with the ability to maneuver far, operate flexibly, coordinate closely and have a high sense of responsibility for important political missions.

"When we landed at the airport, we were taken care of by the officers and soldiers of Regiment 916 and Division 371 officers. They came to the airport to welcome us and gave us bouquets of fresh flowers.
