Confused, worried and excited were the feelings of Captain Nguyen Ngoc Anh when he first participated in the parade in the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory. “I have witnessed many parades and really love the soldiers because of their solemnity and powerful steps. When I was chosen to participate in the parade, I was very happy but also very worried because the training process was very strict, not only requiring physical strength and flexibility but also determination and willpower,” said comrade Anh.

Having successfully completed the mission, Captain Nguyen Ngoc Anh and his comrades continued to participate in the parade and march in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. Leaving Hanoi Station, traveling thousands of kilometers to the South, each journey made comrade Anh feel the spirit of solidarity, love and respect of people across the country for the officers and soldiers of the forces participating in the parade and march in particular and Uncle Ho's Army in general. Captain Nguyen Ngoc Anh recalled: "At each stop and during the training process in the South, the parade group always received a warm welcome from the people, making us feel the closeness, intimacy, solidarity and attachment of the Vietnamese people".

Returning to the capital Hanoi to participate in the 80th anniversary celebration of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, where every street and corner is very familiar and attached to me throughout my student years, makes Anh feel nostalgic and emotional: "Returning to Hanoi this time makes me feel nostalgic and remember the past journey of studying and working, remembering the memories of my school days, the units where I worked with many beautiful memories".
The great ceremony of the country is approaching; each passing parade makes Anh and his comrades remember the hard training days, each step is filled with sweat, the harshness that not everyone sees. Some comrades get sunstroke, are helped out to rest, drink a few sips of water and then get up again to ask to return to the ranks. With the roses that have been tempered with steel, they may be tired but cannot give up because behind them is the pride, the expectation of the unit, the honor of the glorious soldier in Ba Dinh Square on the great day of the nation.
