At the meeting, Rear Admiral Vu Van Nam informed the working delegation about the tradition of the Navy, the 50-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of Naval Region 1; the key tasks of officers and soldiers of Naval Region 1 in training, combat readiness, fighting to prevent activities of foreign ships and drilling rigs illegally violating assigned waters; the task of protecting exploration, surveying and economic activities ships; protecting fishermen working at sea and performing rescue and relief missions.

On behalf of the delegation of the Diplomatic Academy, Dr. Nguyen Hung Son thanked the thoughtful and respectful reception of the Naval Region 1 Command for the delegation. Through the survey content combined with the discussion and practical exchange of opinions, the delegation grasped the basic contents of the characteristics, situation, process of construction, combat, development and key political tasks of the Region in the new situation.

The delegation presented research books and took souvenir photos with the delegates.

Based on the results obtained during the field survey at Naval Region 1, the working group members will screen, supplement, and update new and practical issues that are being raised as a basis for effective application in the process of building a national science and technology program through the state-level project "Scientific and technological research serving sustainable development of the marine economy".
