Taking advantage of favorable weather, over the past week, Ha Tinh fishermen have been working hard to go offshore to exploit seafood resources. According to fishermen, this is the golden time to speed up production, make up for the rough sea months and prepare goods to serve the increased consumption demand at the end of the year.
At fishing ports, the atmosphere of going out to sea and coming ashore is bustling, bringing with it boat holds full of shrimp and fish, contributing to ensuring a supply of fresh food for the market.

Fisherman Nguyen Van Nam (Loc Ha commune) could not hide his joy when his boat docked with a hold full of fish. "The weather these past few days has been very favorable, with calm waves and calm winds, creating ideal conditions for us to stick to the fishing grounds. Each trip out to sea brings in a good yield, helping people earn a significant income to prepare for Tet. My boat alone just caught nearly 300 kg of mackerel, and after deducting expenses, we earned nearly 10 million VND. Local fishermen are trying to make the most of this time to increase trips and production," said Mr. Nam.
According to Mr. Nam, to meet the market demand at the end of the year, people not only focus on exploitation but also pay attention to quality and preservation. Seafood is processed and refrigerated right on the boat to keep its freshness when brought to shore. This initiative helps the product not only be consumed locally but also be purchased and distributed by traders to neighboring provinces, affirming the brand of clean, fresh seafood of Ha Tinh.
Mr. Than Quoc Te - Deputy Director of the Management Board of Fishing Ports and Storm Shelters for Fishing Vessels in Ha Tinh informed: "In the past week, the weather at sea has been stable and favorable, so people are actively taking advantage of going offshore. The output is quite good, increasing about 15-20% compared to last month. We also strengthen inspection, ensure safety, support people to unload and consume products quickly and effectively."

Not only at sea, in vegetable fields, the production atmosphere is also very urgent. Local farmers are busy taking care of, harvesting and planting vegetables to serve the year-end market.
Proactive agricultural production contributes significantly to price stabilization and food diversification during peak months.

In the upper area outside the La Giang dike, in Duc Tho commune, rows of lush, green vegetables are being fertilized and watered by people to harvest them on time. Short-term vegetables such as cabbage, lettuce, etc. are being given special care to meet the increasing demand of wholesale markets.
"My family grows 2 sao of winter vegetables. These days, the weather is cold but sunny, very favorable for vegetables to grow. We are actively taking care of them, ensuring clean, quality vegetables. We expect to harvest vegetables in the last month of the year to have a good selling price, increasing family income" - Ms. Tran Thi That (village 1, Duc Tho commune) shared.

At traditional agricultural and seafood processing establishments, the production atmosphere has become more urgent than ever. Many units have increased their workforce, strictly checked raw materials and accelerated processing stages to promptly meet the increased consumption demand at the end of the year. Preserving and promoting the value of traditional products is one of the top priorities.

At Hoa Tung fish sauce facility (Yen Hoa commune), the fermentation tanks are continuously opened, the characteristic aroma spreads throughout the area. After being filtered, the products are put into the bottling line, labeled and carefully checked for quality before leaving the factory. Mr. Hoang Tung - the owner of the facility said: "The end of the year is the peak season, customers order a sudden increase, focusing on gift products. We have to work overtime to ensure both the quantity and quality of the products. The entire process from fermentation, filtration, and bottling is strictly controlled to maintain the traditional flavor and ensure food hygiene and safety according to standards."
Not only increasing production, the facility also focuses on expanding online consumption channels to reach customers in other provinces and cities. Thanks to that, the number of orders at the end of the year increased by about 20-30% compared to previous months, the facility is expected to sell about 5,000 liters of fish sauce to the market.
The proactiveness and determination of Ha Tinh farmers and fishermen to accelerate production at the end of the year not only ensures abundant and quality supply for the Tet market but also contributes significantly to the sustainable economic development of the province.
