On August 31, a delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City led by Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, visited and presented gifts to meritorious people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Accompanying the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Tan Phat, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Saigon Ward; Nguyen Bac Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City.

The delegation visited the family of Mr. Nguyen Chuong (born in 1930) and the family of Mr. Huynh Phuoc Hy (born in 1930), both residing in Saigon ward (HCMC). Both men were pre-uprising cadres.
At the age of 95, the two men still retain their clarity and pride when recounting their years participating in the revolution.
In a warm atmosphere, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc kindly asked about their health and listened to each story and memory that the two men shared about their time participating in the revolution.

Ho Chi Minh City leaders expressed their deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of previous revolutionary generations and pre-insurrection cadres in the struggle for independence, national liberation, national reunification, and the construction and protection of the Fatherland.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on behalf of the city's leaders, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc respectfully sends his best wishes for good health and longevity, a happy and healthy life with family and children, and to be a shining example for children and the younger generation to follow.

Along with the whole country, Ho Chi Minh City is always one of the leading localities in the work of gratitude and care for war invalids, martyrs' families, and people with meritorious services to the country.
Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc suggested that the locality continue to pay attention and take good care of the material and spiritual life of policy families and meritorious people; and implement well policies for meritorious people.

Touched by the affection and concern of the city leaders, Mr. Nguyen Chuong and Mr. Huynh Phuoc Hy sent their sincere thanks and affirmed to continue to preserve and promote the revolutionary tradition, being a shining example for their children and the younger generation to follow.
