Coinciding with the National Day holiday on September 2, how will the September pension be paid?

(Baohatinh.vn) - Due to the National Day holiday on September 2, the pension payment schedule for September will change.

Vietnam Social Security said that based on Decision 166/QD-BHXH, pensions and benefits for September will be paid from September 3 due to the National Day holiday, instead of September 2 as usual.

According to Clause 4, Article 7 of the Procedure issued with Decision 166/QD-BHXH in 2019, the monthly pension payment schedule is organized in two phases. At direct payment points, the social insurance agency will carry out from the 2nd to the 10th of each month, ensuring a minimum of 6 hours of payment per day.

Payment can be completed before the 10th if the entire beneficiary list has been settled. Then, from the 11th to the 25th, payment will continue at post office transaction points.

However, this schedule may change depending on the actual conditions in each locality. In particular, in September, because September 2 coincides with the National Day holiday, the payment schedule will be moved to the next working day. Thus, pensioners will start receiving their pensions from September 3 to 10 at the payment points.

Following the direction of Vietnam Social Security, the Social Security agency directly transfers pension and monthly allowance payments to beneficiaries' personal accounts on the 2nd of every month.

If the 2nd falls on a day off or holiday, the payment schedule will start from the first working day following the day off or holiday. For those who receive pensions or benefits in cash, the Social Insurance agency will coordinate with the Post Office to pay after the payment date via personal accounts.
