The university has dropped the minimum 8-point math requirement for its semiconductor chip program.

GD&TĐ - The Vietnam-Japan University (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) is adjusting the entrance requirements for the Semiconductor Chip Engineering Technology program, full-time undergraduate program, for the year 2025.

Accordingly, the university has removed the entry requirements for the Semiconductor Chip Engineering Technology Program, which stipulated a minimum total score of 24/30 in the subjects of the admission test combination and a minimum score of 8 in the Mathematics exam.

Candidates wishing to receive support from the "Human Resource Development Program for the Semiconductor Industry until 2030, with a vision to 2050" under Decision 1017/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister must meet the requirements stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training . In 2025, Vietnam-Japan University will use 12 subject combinations for admission to this program. All combinations must include Mathematics and at least one Natural Science subject.

Recently, the Global Innovation and Development Program (BGDI) - International Studies major of the Vietnam-Japan University (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) reached a cooperation agreement with the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (Germany). This agreement increases students' opportunities for study and experience in Germany.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong, Deputy Head of the Training and Student Affairs Department at the Vietnam-Japan University (Vietnam National University , Hanoi ), the two sides will implement a student and faculty exchange program starting in February 2027, the time when the BGDI program officially operates entirely in English.

Accordingly, Berlin University of Applied Sciences will send professors and students to participate in teaching and learning at the Vietnam-Japan University. Conversely, five BGDI students with outstanding academic achievements will be selected to participate in an exchange program in Germany for one semester. This is an opportunity for students to experience a modern, multicultural, and practical academic environment in Germany.

As a pioneering program in international education, BGDI will enroll 100 students in the International Studies program (program code: 7310601) in 2025, with a minimum admission score of 19 points. The program is designed entirely in English, aiming to train a generation of global citizens with critical thinking, leadership skills, an innovative spirit, and the ability to adapt to global issues in an interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.
