University of Electricity welcomes new students

On the morning of October 22, the University of Electricity held the opening ceremony of the 2023-2024 academic year and welcomed more than 3,600 new Vietnamese and international students, graduate students and researchers who were admitted to 19 undergraduate training programs, 11 graduate training programs and 7 doctoral training programs of the University.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Van Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting Rector of the University of Electricity, said that the 2022-2023 school year has passed with many important and outstanding marks, continuing with innovations and expectations. The quality of enrollment, training, scientific research and innovation continues to be affirmed. Student support activities are well implemented, teaching methods are innovated, and testing and evaluation are flexible.Educational quality assessment is actively implemented, in the direction of a culture of assessment associated with training quality. Management and facilitation of administrative procedures have been drastically implemented. Many new documents, regulations and statutes have been issued promptly, contributing to increasing the effectiveness of management and administration of the University. The goal of digital transformation in education and training is given special attention.

With the theme of the 2023-2024 school year being "Discipline - Responsibility - Efficiency", the University of Electricity is actively seeking stronger connections with the business community, the startup and innovation ecosystem, investors, social activists, experts, scientists , managers, policy makers and domestic and foreign partners, especially connecting lecturers and students of all generations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Chau stated: Successfully implementing the goals and tasks of this school year will be the driving force for the development of the School in the following years. With that goal, I suggest that the leaders of the school, units; teachers, and managers join hands and unite; promote autonomy, self-responsibility, promote connections through their professional roles and influences, work enthusiastically and bring positive energy to students, aiming to profoundly change the quality of education and training of the School. Lead students to creative horizons with their own adaptability and modern thinking.

Acting Principal, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Van Chau also expressed that becoming a student of the school is a great honor and pride, but this is only the first step on the journey of preparing knowledge and skills for the future, for the good things that students are aiming for. At the same time, affirming that the University of Electricity with the commitment of 5T (practical learning, comprehensiveness, interaction, empowerment, empathy) will do everything to equip students to be ready for the world of work and future life.

On behalf of the newly enrolled students, student Dao Hong Ngoc of class D18TCDN1 expressed her pride in studying and training at the University of Electricity.
