The University of Health Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has just announced information on regular university enrollment in 2025, including additional conditions used in the admission process.

Enrollment in 5 majors, according to 3 groups of admission methods

This year, the University of Health Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) enrolls 5 undergraduate majors with a total enrollment target that has increased sharply compared to 2024.

1. Medical field (300 regular quotas and 110 quotas by order): method 1 (combination B00, A02); method 2 (combination NL1); method 3 (combination B00, A02). For the training program by order, candidates must belong to the ordering subjects introduced by the province.

2. Dentistry (100 targets): method 1 (B00, A02); method 2 (NL1); method 3 (B00, A02).

3. Pharmacy (150 indicators): method 1 (B00, A00); method 2 (NL1); method 3 (B00, A00).

4. Traditional medicine (100 targets): method 1 (B00, A02); method 2 (NL1); method 3 (B00, A02).

5. Nursing (300 targets): method 1 (B00, A02); method 2 (NL1); method 3 (B00, A02).

Subject combinations for admission to medical, dental, traditional medicine, and nursing majors are based on subject combinations B00 (math, chemistry, biology) and A02 (math, physics, biology). Pharmacy majors are based on subject combinations B00 and A00 (math, physics, chemistry).

The school enrolls students according to 3 groups of methods:

Method 1: Direct admission, priority direct admission, priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2025 capacity assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Method 3: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2025.

The school said it will implement regulations on input quality assurance thresholds (floor scores) and admission scores according to the instructions of the Ministryof Education and Training.

The conversion rules will be announced by the school after the 2025 high school graduation exam results are available.

Additional conditions used in admission

The school's admissions board will base on the list of candidates with the admission scores arranged from high to low until the quota is met. In case there are many candidates with the same score, an additional criterion will be used, which is the order of the candidates' wishes registered on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training (wish 1 is the highest).

The bonus points are rounded to two decimal places and added to the admission score before adding priority points by region and subject according to the calculation formula and regulations of the Ministry. In case the total admission score after adding the bonus points is greater than the maximum score of the admission method, the maximum score of the score scale will be taken.

The school gives priority to bonus points for candidates with IELTS certificate of 6.0 or higher and SAT exam results of 1,280 or higher.

Note: To receive extra points, candidates must submit a notarized copy of their IELTS certificate and/or SAT test results to the school before 5:00 p.m. on July 21, as announced by the school. The IELTS certificate/SAT test results must be issued no more than 2 years before the admission date.

Bonus points are calculated according to the formula:

- For method 1: Bonus points = 2.7 x IELTS score/9 + 2.7 x SAT score/1,600

- For method 2: Bonus points are calculated: Bonus points = 36 x IELTS score/9 + 36 x SAT score/1,600

- For method 3: Bonus points are calculated: Bonus points = 0.9 x IELTS score/9 + 0.9 x SAT score/1,600

Declare priority admission information by June 25

Candidates applying for direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training must submit their application documents to the University of Health Sciences before 5:00 p.m. on June 30.

Candidates applying for priority admission for excellent and talented candidates of high schools and priority admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University, perform the following steps:

Step 1: Declare information on the Ho Chi Minh City National University information portal (https://dangky.tuyensinh.vnuhcm.edu.vn/tuyensinh/dangKyDotXetTuyen.action) from now until June 25.

Step 2: Print the information declaration form, sign and confirm the information of the high school.

Step 3: Submit application to the school before 5:00 p.m. on June 30.

The profile includes:

- The information declaration form for university admission in 2025 is printed from the Ho Chi Minh City National University admission registration system after completing Step 1 and Step 2.

- Candidate's handwritten essay about admission wishes to the major/group of majors.

- IELTS certificate/SAT test results (if available).

Step 4: Candidates declare their admission wishes on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training according to the plan and instructions of the Ministry.
