Previously, within the framework of his visit and work in Germany on March 25, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh had a meeting and worked with the Prime Minister of Hessen State, Mr. Boris Rhein. The school also presented a number of recommendations and proposals, asking for opinions from Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh on issues related to Vietnam-Germany University's support for the development of the International Finance Center.

Specifically, the school hopes to receive support from the Government in developing specialized training programs in finance, risk management and financial technology (fintech), as well as connecting with German businesses to implement applied research projects.

In addition, the school proposes to strengthen cooperation with the State of Hessen and international financial organizations to build a training and research ecosystem, contributing to providing high-quality human resources for financial centers in Vietnam.

Sharing about the International Financial Center planned to be established in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang and emphasizing that Vietnam is entering an era of innovation, science and technology and digital transformation, the First Deputy Prime Minister said that besides traditional growth drivers, Vietnam is also looking for new breakthrough drivers such as chips, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), as well as suitable new financial resources.

Sharing about the establishment of the International Finance Center, the First Deputy Prime Minister expected that the Vietnam-Germany University will play a pivotal role in the formation and development of the International Finance Center in Vietnam, becoming a place to train human resources to operate financial institutions in the future.

Emphasizing that the most important factor that scientists and researchers are interested in is “opportunities to contribute, research and working environment”, First Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh hopes that with its role and position, the Vietnam-Germany University will connect German and Vietnamese professors and experts to participate in consulting on building a legal framework for a financial center, with policies attractive enough for international investors.

Wishing that Vietnam-Germany University will participate in the process of preparing human resources to participate in the Financial Center in Vietnam, the First Deputy Prime Minister believes that students of Vietnam-Germany University are high-quality human resources for the International Financial Center in Vietnam.

During the visit and working session, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and the delegation visited the facilities serving teaching, learning, research, technology transfer of the school and planted a souvenir tree at the Vietnam-Germany University.
