Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy adds admission method from V-SAT exam, increases tuition fees for all majors

This year, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy will recruit nationwide, and for the first time, it will use the V-SAT (ability assessment test organized by Can Tho University) admission method. With this method, the school will recruit candidates with V-SAT scores in 3 subjects: math - chemistry - biology (without coefficient).

In addition to the prescribed admission methods such as the method of considering the 2025 high school graduation exam scores with suitable combinations (mainly the combination of math, chemistry, biology and math, physics, chemistry); method 3 is direct admission.

Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy also has method 4 for contract training (considering high school graduates with scores suitable for admission conditions and contracts with units that have signed cooperation agreements, giving priority to candidates from border areas and islands in the Southwest region) and method 5 is for foreigners who have graduated from high school or college and have studied high school programs, and meet English proficiency standards appropriate to the field of study.

In the 2025 school year, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy will enroll 2,750 students for regular undergraduate and transfer programs. There are 12 regular undergraduate programs, including: medicine, preventive medicine, traditional medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, midwifery, medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology, biomedical technology, public health , and the newly recruited major is nutrition.

This year's enrollment quota increased by more than 400 compared to the 2024 enrollment period, of which the largest is still the medical major with 1,000 quotas. New majors such as nutrition, medical imaging technology, and biomedical engineering each only recruit 50 quotas.

At the same time, in the 2025-2026 school year, tuition fees for all majors will increase compared to the previous school year. The highest are in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy with tuition fees of over 63 million VND/school year. The lowest are in the fields of midwifery, nutrition, biomedical engineering... with tuition fees of over 44 million VND/school year.

Meanwhile, tuition fees for the 2024 school year range from 33 - 49.6 million VND/school year.
