Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced that due to the impact of storm Ragasa, the September 2025 graduation ceremony will be postponed to October 4-5.
According to the original plan, the graduating students of batch 2024.2A and 2024.2B will attend the graduation ceremony at hall C2 of Hanoi University of Science and Technology on September 27-28. The school also hopes that the graduating students of batch 2024.2A and 2024.2B, along with their parents and guests, will take note to arrange their time to attend.
For students who live far away and have booked flight tickets and cannot attend the graduation ceremony on October 4-5, the school informs that they can contact the Student Affairs Department for support in receiving their diplomas, documents and taking photos on the afternoon of September 26.

The University of Economics , Vietnam National University, Hanoi also sent a letter to the Embassy, businesses, and partners to announce the cancellation of the opening ceremony plan.
According to the plan, the school was scheduled to hold a ceremony to welcome the new school year 2025-2026 on the morning of September 25. However, due to the complicated and dangerous developments of super typhoon Ragasa, to ensure absolute safety for all staff, lecturers, students and guests, the school's board of directors decided to cancel the ceremony.
Important activities such as rewarding students and showing gratitude to sponsors and partners will be arranged by the school in the nearest event and specifically announced in the near future.
"We look forward to receiving your understanding and sympathy in this unavoidable situation, and hope to continue to receive your valuable companionship in upcoming programs," the school wrote in the announcement letter.
Previously, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son sent a telegram to the Directors of the Departments of Education and Training requesting a response plan for storm Ragasa to ensure the safety of students and to prepare for online learning and postponement of school schedules during stormy days.
The Ministry of Education and Training also requested the local education sector to continuously update the damage situation and send it to the People's Committees of provinces and cities to have a solution and report to the Ministry.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 6am this morning, September 25, storm Ragasa was about 120km east of Mong Cai (Quang Ninh). Strongest wind: Level 09 (75 - 88km/h), gusting to level 11. In the next 3 hours, the storm is forecast to move westward at a speed of about 20km/h.
