Ho Chi Minh City University of Law increases from 3 to 5 admission methods

Ho Chi Minh City University of Law officially announced the use of 5 university admission methods in 2025.

Method 1 : Direct admission , direct consideration and priority consideration according to the University Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the school .

Method 2 : Admission combines high school academic results with international language certificates or US SAT exam results .

Method 3 : Admission based on high school academic results for candidates studying at schools on the list of high schools with priority for admission in 2025 of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Method 4 : Consider candidates with V-SAT (Standardized University Admissions Test for Vietnam) results organized by other units for admission consideration .

Method 5 : Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam .

The school also noted that it would not use the results of the exemption from the foreign language exam in the 2025 high school graduation exam; and would not use the exam scores in the graduation exam . previous years ' professional qualifications for admission; do not convert international language certificates into foreign language subject scores to include in the admission subject group.

Subject combinations and admission methods

The subject combination (including the combination of subjects in the 2025 high school graduation exam and the combination of high school level subjects with converted equivalent scores) used for admission includes 3 subjects, including math or literature.

Admission score is calculated on a scale of 30. The method of calculating admission score is as follows:

DXT = subject combination score + bonus points (if any) + priority points (if any)

In there:

- Bonus points: only applicable to candidates applying for admission according to method 2;

- Priority points (by region and/or by policy subject): determined according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Previously, at the end of December last year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law planned to use 3 university admission methods in 2025, including: Direct admission, direct admission and priority admission according to the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; Admission according to the school's admission plan; Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training.

"Compared to the expected information, the school has now added two more admission methods. Although the number of methods has changed, the nature of the school's admission method has not changed compared to the initial announcement," said Master Le Van Hien, Deputy Head of the Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.
