Candidates taking the 2023 high school graduation exam
In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking will enroll 4,329 students for 12 majors with 34 training programs. Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking plans to apply 5 admission methods for the regular university program.
Method 1 is direct admission and priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and priority direct admission and priority admission according to the school's enrollment plan.
Method 2 is to consider the combination of academic results and achievements of high school. This method applies to candidates graduating in 2023 and 2024 and meeting the following conditions: Average score of semester 1, semester 2 of grade 11 and semester 1 of grade 12 is from 6.5 or higher; Conversion score for admission based on the average of registered subjects in semester 1 of grade 11, semester 2 of grade 11 and semester 1 of grade 12 is from 72 or higher (excluding priority points for subjects, regions and conversion points according to other criteria).
Admission score = Converted score according to subject group + Converted score according to other criteria (if any) + total converted priority score (if any).
Converted score by subject combination = Converted score (Average score by subject combination, semester 1, grade 11) + Converted score (Average score by subject combination, semester 2, grade 11) + Converted score (Average score by subject combination, semester 1, grade 12).
Converted score according to other criteria = Converted score of international English certificate + Converted score of excellent student selection exam + Converted score of specialized/gifted school + Converted score of excellent student classification.

Method 3 is admission based on the results of the computer-based university entrance exam. This method considers students who participated in the computer-based university entrance exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City Banking University in 2024; graduated from high school or equivalent according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; and have an average score of 6.5 or higher in semester 1, semester 2 of grade 11 and semester 1 of grade 12.
Method 4 is to consider admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam. The expected entrance score threshold is 18 (on a 30-point scale). The school will announce changes to the entrance quality threshold for each admission major (if any) after the 2024 high school graduation exam results are available according to the general schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Method 5 is to consider high school transcripts and interviews, applicable to international regular university programs with partners granting degrees, students graduating from high school or equivalent. In 2024, the school will reserve 200 quotas for this program.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of the School's Admissions Consulting and Brand Development Department, this year the computer-based university entrance exam is expected to be held in 4 rounds. Specifically, including:
- Phase 1: March 30 and 31, 2024
- Phase 2: April 13 and 14, 2024
- Phase 3: May 4 and 5, 2024
- Phase 4: May 18 and 19, 2024
Ho Chi Minh City Banking University accepts applications for admission using computer-based university entrance exam scores from April 12 to June 15.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University plans to increase its admission quota by considering the computer-based university entrance exam scores. In particular, in addition to the two comprehensive admission methods and the method of considering high school graduation exam results, the school will reserve 10% of its admission quota in 2024 to consider the results of the computer-based university entrance exam. These majors include: finance-banking, accounting, business administration, international economics , management information systems and special programs (English taught according to European English standards).
In the standard regular program, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University reserves 10-40% of its quota for the computer-based university entrance assessment method depending on each specific major. Majors in the standard regular program include: finance and banking, accounting, business administration, international economics, economic law, management information systems, English, marketing, financial technology, international business, data science , logistics and supply chain management.
