The Party Committee and People's Committee of Truong Son commune continue to direct the synchronous implementation of criteria, apply and integrate programs, projects and campaigns, mass movements, especially the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas". The commune has also stepped up propaganda work, making every cadre, party member, and every citizen imbued with and deeply aware of the guiding viewpoint "stopping is deviating from the standard, slow change is falling behind".

In the process of building a new rural commune, an advanced new rural commune, a model new rural commune, the locality takes the people as the center; takes the consensus and exemplary role of cadres and party members as the guiding principle. For the criteria of building a model new rural commune, the locality develops a specific plan and implements it in the manner of "each day, each household spends at least 1 hour cleaning the house, garden, and alley; each week, the village chooses 1 day to do the common work of the village; each month, chooses 1 task to complete". Thanks to the creativity and flexibility in this approach, Truong Son has made favorable steps, completing the criteria of building a model new rural commune.

The outstanding picture of Truong Son is the model of "clean houses - beautiful gardens - civilized roads and alleys". To build this model, residential areas proactively discussed and contributed funds to widen the sidewalks, build drainage ditches, flower beds, and plant and care for trees. Many households competed to renovate their houses and family yards to be spacious and clean, ensuring the goal of both economic development and rural aesthetics. Up to now, in the commune, there are 37 households with garden areas of 500m2 or more that have been planned synchronously and spaciously, creating a highlight for the model countryside. Households with garden areas of less than 500m2 have also boldly converted low-value crops to grow fruit trees and vegetables with higher economic value. Currently, 11/11 residential areas are model residential areas, with over 200 standard model gardens.

Every year, the Commune Party Committee issues many specialized resolutions on strengthening the Party's leadership in organizing agricultural production in the direction of linking value chains, ensuring VietGAP standards; promoting livestock development according to the model of family farms and ranches; effectively implementing agricultural production projects; building fields with an income of more than 100 million VND/ha/year. In the total area of ​​more than 300 hectares of local rice land, the area of ​​high-quality rice accounts for about 70% each crop; there are more than 50 hectares of commercial rice according to standards.

VietGAP, linking production according to the value chain of goods. Currently, the locality has high-quality rice products with the brand name of clean rice Huong Que supplied to the market, which are favored by many customers. Along with that, the commune also advocates building pilot modern agricultural areas that adapt to climate change. A typical example is the model of growing safe vegetables according to VietGAP with an area of ​​3 hectares in Thanh Lien village, generating an income of more than 250 million VND/ha/year.

The whole commune has 426 individual businesses, including 2 industrial garment companies, 1 garment processing company, 8 enterprises, creating stable jobs for hundreds of local workers. In particular, Thanh Lien conical hat craft village has been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a traditional craft village.

In addition to focusing on production development, the commune also focuses on developingeducation , health and culture criteria. Up to now, 98% of the people in the commune participate in health insurance, 100% of the permanent population in the commune are managed and monitored for health. The rate of mobilizing children to attend kindergarten, enter grade 1, the rate of children completing primary school is 100%. The locality also builds cultural and sports activity models attracting 80% of the people in the commune to participate. 100% of villages and hamlets have cultural and artistic teams or clubs that operate regularly and effectively. All villages maintain annual traditional village festivals, which are places to preserve and educate the historical and cultural traditions of the homeland for future generations. Social security work is of interest, especially for families of people with meritorious services, single elderly families...
