(Baothanhhoa.vn) - To proactively respond to the developments of storm No. 5 according to the "4 on-site" motto, the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union has directed the Youth Unions of communes and wards to establish "Youth Volunteer Shock Teams", ready to participate in supporting people in storm prevention and control.

The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also directed the Youth Unions of communes and wards to focus on promoting the dissemination of regulations on storm prevention and control, warning of impacts and scenarios for responding to storms and floods after storms to the people. Information on storm forecasts and warnings from authorities is promptly disseminated and warned on the website, social networks Facebook and Zalo of the Youth Union and Association.

Up to now, 100% of the Youth Unions of communes and wards have consolidated, strengthened, and newly established "Youth Volunteer Shock Teams", ready to participate in supporting activities to respond to and overcome the consequences of storms and floods after storms. Youth Union members are mobilized to participate in supporting people in strengthening houses, pruning trees, reinforcing and protecting headquarters, warehouses, production, business, service establishments, public works (especially educational and medical facilities), and infrastructure works. At the same time, support people in harvesting agricultural products, especially crops and aquaculture areas that are about to be harvested.
