Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung and the working delegation inspected a number of key projects for natural disaster prevention and control, including: Chan Long sluice, Thieu Trung commune; works to handle landslides on the left and right sides of Chu river and residential areas on the riverbank of the left dike of Chu river, Thieu Hoa commune; Noi Ha drainage sluice, Cau Chay river left dike, Dinh Hoa commune; and No Thon sluice under construction, Bien Thuong commune.

Inspections show that, up to now, localities have been ready to respond to storm No. 5 according to the "4 on-site" motto.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested communes to continue to mobilize maximum forces to participate in direct response before, during and after the storm, absolutely not to be subjective or negligent; support people to focus on reinforcing and bracing houses and constructions. At the same time, proactively review and evacuate people from dangerous areas to ensure safety, especially households in areas at risk of flooding and landslides.

Along with that, localities and functional sectors need to step up propaganda, limit people from going out when there is wind and storms; ensure the safety of infrastructure works, especially key works, disaster prevention works under construction.
For agricultural production, localities need to proactively drain water to promptly protect crops and minimize damage caused by flooding. Review farms and livestock households located in areas at high risk of flooding due to rain and storms to have timely response measures. Prepare means and rescue forces to promptly handle situations when they arise. Strictly implement the instructions of superiors.
