After the merger, Phu Tho becomes the connecting center of the Northwest region of the capital, near Noi Bai International Airport, convenient for domestic and international trade connections. The diverse traffic infrastructure system includes Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway, National Highway 2, 2B, 32C and Hanoi - Lao Cai railway, helping businesses easily participate in the production, logistics and product consumption chain.
Modern industrial parks (IPs) such as Thuy Van, Phu Ha, Trung Ha, Tam Nong, Thang Long Vinh Phuc , Ba Thien, Binh Xuyen... are planned synchronously, have clean land funds and complete technical infrastructure, meeting the strict standards of Japanese investors. Along with that, young, highly skilled human resources, competitive costs are becoming a great advantage to help Phu Tho attract corporations in the fields of supporting industries, precision mechanics, electricity - electronics and green manufacturing.

Toyota Vietnam Automobile Company - a leading enterprise in applying automation technology to assembly lines and automobile production, helping to improve production efficiency, reduce costs and ensure product quality.
According to the Department of Finance’s report, as of October 9, 2025, the province has attracted 727 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 13 billion USD. Of which, Japan ranks second in the number of projects but leads in scale and investment efficiency, demonstrating the confidence of “cherry blossom” enterprises in the province’s business environment.
Currently, the province has 79 Japanese investment projects with a total registered capital of about 2.1 billion USD, focusing on the fields of supporting industries, manufacturing components, electronic equipment, automobiles and motorbikes. Major brands such as Toyota, Honda, Sumitomo, Hitachi Astemo, TOTO... have contributed to forming a regional industrial supply chain in Phu Tho , creating a strong influence in attracting foreign investment. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong affirmed: "Phu Tho always considers enterprises and investors as the center of development. The province is committed to providing maximum support, ensuring open policies and mechanisms, quick administrative procedures and synchronous infrastructure so that enterprises can confidently invest in long-term production and business."
In recent years, Phu Tho has continuously improved its Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), shortened the time for processing investment dossiers, enhanced public-private dialogue and effectively implemented the model of "Government serving and accompanying businesses". The province prioritizes attracting high-tech projects, supporting industries, renewable energy, electronics, manufacturing and smart agriculture, while promoting digital transformation in investment management and training of highly skilled human resources. Thanks to that, Phu Tho has become a safe, reliable and friendly destination for Japanese investors.
Symbol of Vietnam - Japan cooperation in the province
As a pioneering Japanese investor in Vietnam, over the past 30 years, Toyota Motor Vietnam has been closely associated with Phu Tho land, making important contributions to the development of the Vietnamese automobile industry with more than 700,000 vehicles produced and 1 million vehicles delivered to customers; export revenue of components reaching nearly 1 billion USD; contributing 14.4 billion USD to the State budget, 32 million USD for social activities in 4 areas: Traffic safety, environmental protection, culture - society and education - training. The company has built a domestic supply chain with 61 suppliers, including 13 Vietnamese enterprises and more than 1,000 localized components, while developing a dedicated and enthusiastic staff. Mr. Nakano Keita - General Director of Toyota Vietnam said: Toyota Vietnam will modernize its headquarters, upgrade its factory and start the production line of the first Hybrid car model in Vietnam, with a total investment of more than 360 million USD, thereby contributing to making Phu Tho become the leading electric vehicle production center in the North. At the same time, Toyota Vietnam will apply advanced technologies to reduce emissions and expand its green product portfolio, meeting the increasingly diverse travel needs of customers.
Besides Toyota Vietnam, Sumitomo Corporation - one of the Japanese industrial giants is also expanding its investment in Phu Tho with Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park. Started in 2017, up to now, the Industrial Park has achieved a 96% occupancy rate with 60 enterprises from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Vietnam, creating stable jobs for 14,000 workers. Since 2017, the Industrial Park has participated in and contributed nearly 8 billion VND to local social security activities.
At the 10th anniversary of Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park, Mr. Kenta Kawanabe - General Director of Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park Co., Ltd. expressed his gratitude to the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and partners who have accompanied the company in the development process. He emphasized: Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park, developed by Sumitomo Group with Japanese-standard infrastructure and many value-added projects, is a vivid demonstration of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
With the motto "Accompanying - Developing - Prospering", Phu Tho is building a transparent, friendly, effective investment ecosystem and affirming its position as the leading attractive destination for Japanese enterprises in the North. The presence of large corporations such as Toyota, Sumitomo, Honda, TOTO... not only demonstrates the confidence of international investors, but also opens up the prospect for Phu Tho to become a new center of supporting industry and green production in Vietnam, actively contributing to the goal of sustainable development in the period of deep integration.
