Khanh Yen builds cultural life

In recent years, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been widely deployed in Khanh Yen commune, contributing to strengthening solidarity, creating momentum for socio-economic development, and maintaining security and order in the area.

Head of the Department of Culture - Society , Khanh Yen Commune People's Committee Vu Thi Ve said: "The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has always been directed and implemented by the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front, local branches and organizations and has received strong response from the people. Especially the contents of implementing a civilized lifestyle are closely linked to the criteria of building new rural areas".

One of the collectives that always leads the emulation movements and campaigns of the commune is Lan 1 village - where there are 101 households with 460 people living.

Over the past time, the cadres and people of Lan 1 village have constantly cared for building a healthy and rich cultural and spiritual life. Cultural, artistic, physical and sports activities have been maintained regularly, attracting people of all ages to participate.

Ms. Vi Thi Thien - Secretary of Lan 1 village Party Cell said: "According to preliminary assessment, this year the village has 100/101 households achieving "Cultural Family"; more than 80% of households have achieved the title "Cultural Family" for 3 consecutive years. People well comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, actively participate in building new rural areas, protecting the environment and maintaining security and order in the area".

The highlight in implementing the civilized lifestyle of Lan 1 village is the construction of the "Collecting Recycled Waste" model and has been maintained for nearly 8 years. It is known that the Party Cell and organizations of Lan 1 village have designed a bin to collect reusable waste such as: cans, bottles, paper, plastic... placed in front of the village cultural house. After collection, recycled waste is classified for sale, raising funds to support common activities...

“The model has received the attention and support of many people in the village. Thereby, it has contributed to helping Lan 1 village meet the environmental criteria in building new rural areas”, Ms. Vi Thi Thien - Secretary of Lan 1 village Party Cell added.

Up to now, Khanh Yen commune has 96% of villages achieving the title of "Cultural Village" and 92% of households achieving the title of "Cultural Family". For many consecutive years, recognized as a cultural family, the family of Mr. Ha Van Dac and Mrs. Ma Thi Hai in Phat Cuom village has always been loved by the people for their exemplary, simple lifestyle, harmony with the village, and active participation in local movements and activities.

Realizing the importance of family foundation, he always paid attention to his children's education and career guidance. His children are now all grown up and have stable jobs, the family is warm and harmonious.

Mr. Ha Van Dac shared: "My family always maintains a respectful lifestyle from grandparents, parents to children and grandchildren. Children also understand the hardships of their parents, so they try hard to study, strive and build a happy family."

The work of building a cultural life is directed by the commune government to be implemented by organizations and unions in combination with movements such as building "A prosperous, equal, progressive, happy family", "5 no, 3 clean family" of the Women's Union; Veterans Association with the movement "Exemplary member family"; Association of the Elderly implementing the movement "Exemplary grandparents, filial children...".

Along with that, to concretize the contents of the movement, Khanh Yen commune launched many practical emulation movements, especially mobilizing people to change the structure of crops and livestock, applying scientific and technical advances to production in the direction of goods such as models: growing fruit trees, growing mushrooms, raising carp in rice fields... Thanks to that, people's lives and incomes have constantly improved and increased. Up to now, the average income has reached 60 million VND/person/year, the poverty rate has decreased to 4.7%.

The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in Khanh Yen commune has created a positive change in people's awareness, connecting families and clans, creating a driving force to promote the emulation movement in labor, production, sustainable poverty reduction, contributing to the successful implementation of local socio-economic development goals.
