Floods cause severe damage to urban infrastructure and business goods.

(GLO)- Before the consequences of storm No. 13 could be fully overcome, heavy rains and floods in recent days have caused more damage to traffic infrastructure, urban construction works and damaged goods of many businesses in Gia Lai province.

According to incomplete statistics from the Department of Construction, the recent floods have flooded and damaged 500 small bridges, culverts, and drainage culverts. In addition, 170 local traffic routes and 353 urban construction works have also been damaged by floods to varying degrees.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board said that heavy rains and floods have damaged machinery, equipment, auxiliary infrastructure systems and goods, such as mattresses, pillows, fabrics, wood... of many enterprises in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and industrial parks in the province.

The most serious incident was in Phu Tai Industrial Park with 33 factories of enterprises deeply submerged in water.

Preliminary estimates show that the floods have caused damage to businesses in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and industrial parks in the province of about 500 billion VND. Currently, the floodwaters have receded, businesses are reviewing and synthesizing the damages, and quickly implementing measures to overcome the consequences of the floods.
