Developing new industrial parks
In addition to determining that by 2030, the province will invest in completing 15 existing industrial parks and putting them into effective operation, the locality is also considering expanding and investing in developing 13 new industrial parks. Through assessment, the ability to attract occupancy and the interest of investors, recently, the Lam Dong Industrial Park Management Board said that it is implementing the planning of 4/13 industrial parks to serve as a basis for promoting project implementation.

It is known that the locations of the above mentioned industrial parks are all in the Southeast of the province, including: Tan Duc Industrial Park expansion (over 608 hectares) in Tan Minh commune, Southern Industrial Park of the province (phase 1 with a scale of 300 hectares) in Tra Tan commune. Currently, these two industrial parks are attracting the attention of a number of investors such as: Stavian Group Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, Rita Vo Group Company Limited, Sonadezi Binh Thuan Joint Stock Company, Minh Tai Tien Trading Joint Stock Company... For Ham Tan - La Gi Industrial Park - Urban - Service (scale of 2,984 hectares) in Son My commune and Phuoc Hoi ward, the locality has previously agreed in principle for Becamex - VSIP Corporation to research and implement, while Dong Bac Phan Thiet Industrial Park (area of 300 hectares) is currently located in Hong Son commune.
In addition to the industrial parks identified in the provincial planning, the Industrial Park Management Board has also reviewed and proposed to add 9 more industrial parks in the southern area of Lam Dong. In particular, in Tra Tan commune, there is the Southern Industrial Park - Phase 2 (area of more than 700 hectares), and in Suoi Kiet commune, it is expected to form Gia Huynh Industrial Park (about 920 hectares), Suoi Kiet Industrial Park (scale of 170 hectares). Particularly in Tan Minh commune, there are Suoi Gieng Industrial Park (500 hectares), Tan Phuc 1 Industrial Park (area of 500 hectares), Tan Phuc 2 Industrial Park (scale of 644 hectares), Tan Minh 1 Industrial Park (about 250 hectares), Tan Minh 2 Industrial Park (area of 430 hectares). The rest is the expanded Ham Kiem Industrial Park (scale of 300 hectares) in Ham Kiem commune and Tuyen Quang commune.
Thus, in the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Lam Dong province will have nearly 40 industrial parks with a total area of approximately 19,820 hectares and 1 economic zone with a scale of about 27,000 hectares...
Forming green industrial park chains
Recently, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai made a survey trip to some locations of the above-mentioned industrial parks and listened to reports on related contents. According to the leader of the Lam Dong Industrial Park Management Board, the new industrial parks can be connected with the industrial parks identified in the provincial planning. Specifically, the southern industrial park of the province (phase 1 with 300 hectares) - Tan Duc Industrial Park (300 hectares) - Tan Duc Industrial Park expansion (area of 608 hectares) - Son My 1 Industrial Park (scale of 1,070 hectares) - Son My 2 Industrial Park (about 540 hectares) and Ham Tan - La Gi Industrial Park - Urban - Service (2,984 hectares) will be connected. From there, it will aim to form a chain of industrial parks with more than 10,200 hectares in the southeastern region of the province.
Meanwhile, the proposed additional industrial parks in the three communes of Tra Tan, Suoi Kiet and Tan Minh are also quite conveniently located to connect traffic infrastructure, electricity, water and communication needs. Some industrial parks also have the conditions to connect to National Highway 1A, Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressways to Long Thanh airport, Tan Son Nhat airport and Cai Mep - Thi Vai port... Therefore, the Management Board of Lam Dong Industrial Parks believes that the development orientation of 9 industrial parks with a scale of more than 4,420 hectares here is also aimed at "forming a chain of industrial parks adjacent to Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City to take advantage of distance, connection and use of shared infrastructure" according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.
Regarding trends and requirements in the new period, the provincial leaders also set development goals towards forming typical industrial park chains in green industry, clean industry, ecological industry, high-tech industry in attracting investment. In which, it is recommended that communes and wards stop planning and licensing inappropriate projects (especially concentrated livestock farms) in the vicinity of the development area of new industrial parks according to the orientation...
