To support people in areas severely affected by floods in Lam Dong province, since November 20, Military Region 7 has deployed forces and mobile vessels to Lam Dong province to assist in disaster prevention. The forces have marched through the night and continuously supported people.

By the morning of November 22, the water had basically receded, and forces were focusing on cleaning up after the flood. Directly inspecting the performance of tasks by forces in D'Ran commune, Colonel Le Xuan Binh, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 7, requested: "Officers and soldiers of units need to continue to coordinate closely with local Party committees and authorities; mobilize maximum forces and means to help people quickly overcome difficulties and overcome the consequences of floods in the most timely and effective manner."

“Where the water recedes, we clean up”, officers and soldiers of Division 302, Military Region 7, work together with the government and people to urgently clean up mud, garbage, fallen trees, clear sewers and roads, repair damaged houses, and reinforce structures at risk of collapse. Thereby, adding motivation, helping people to rise up and rebuild their lives after the flood.

To promptly direct the fastest and most effective implementation of tasks to help people overcome the consequences of natural disasters in D'Ran commune, the Provincial Military Command has also established the Forward Command Post 3.
Directly commanding this Command Post, Lieutenant Colonel Ha Bao Loc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, said: The Provincial Military Command has dispatched the 1st Mechanized Reconnaissance Company, forces of the 994B Infantry Regiment, the 1st Region Defense Command - Duc Trong, and local militia and self-defense forces to closely coordinate with forces of Military Region 7 to support people in overcoming natural disasters.

The water has receded, but currently in D'Ran and Ka Do communes, many roads and residential areas are damaged and severely affected. Mud is thick, garbage is stuck in the water and has not been collected yet, many items in people's houses are damaged and disturbed.

Lieutenant Colonel Mai Tat Thanh, Commander of Regiment 994B, directed the officers and soldiers of the Regiment in D'Ran and said: "The officers and soldiers of the Regiment quickly marched to the villages, divided into many working groups to promptly join hands with the people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters."

The sky in D'ran was still gloomy and occasionally rainy, but the sound of shovels and hoes from soldiers still resounded regularly from early morning until late at night. Military vehicles moved from residential areas to production areas.
In the drizzle and cold wind, the faces and backs of the soldiers were drenched in sweat. The soldiers, whether from the Eastern provinces or from Lam Dong, all shared the same mission and determination: to help people overcome difficulties after the flood.

Mrs. Pham Thi Tam (Quang Lac village, D'Ran commune) shared: “The floodwaters rose so quickly that my husband and I only had time to gather a few clothes and evacuate. After the water receded, the house was completely damaged and now we have no home. For the past few days, we have not been able to eat or sleep. We are so sad. We have saved up our entire life. Seeing the soldiers wade through the flood to help people, I was very touched. Thank you very much.”

Along with helping people clean up after the flood, officers and soldiers also visited and encouraged people to help them relieve their worries and have more faith to look forward to a brighter tomorrow.
