In Phu Yen, Luong Van Chanh Specialized High School presented gifts to 950 students, each receiving 50,000 VND, to celebrate Teachers' Day on November 20th.

On November 19th, Mr. Huynh Tan Chau, principal of Luong Van Chanh Specialized High School, stated that the total expenditure was approximately 50 million VND, sourced from the school's social mobilization fund.

"This money has been distributed to each class so that the students can organize a party with their teachers on November 18th," Mr. Chau said.

According to Mr. Chau, every year on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20th, many students and parents feel an invisible pressure to give gifts to teachers, especially those from disadvantaged families. Meanwhile, teachers no longer feel obligated to receive gifts on this day. Therefore, last year, the school's administration came up with the idea of giving gifts to create a more relaxed atmosphere for the students.

"We want the students to share in the joy of the day without any pressure," Mr. Chau shared.

Nguyen Khanh Ha, a 10th-grade student specializing in Literature at Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, was surprised to receive 50,000 VND from the school for the first time on November 20th.

"The money was used by our class to buy cakes and bubble tea to celebrate with our teachers, who have guided and taught us many good things in life," Ha said.

Additionally, on November 20th, Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted also awarded scholarships to 51 students who made it onto the national team for the national excellent student competition, each scholarship worth two million VND.

Luong Van Chanh Specialized High School has a history of nearly 80 years and has trained many優秀 students in Phu Yen province. Here, students from disadvantaged backgrounds are exempt from tuition fees and receive support for insurance from socialized funds.
