Overcoming difficulties
As a school in a particularly difficult situation, this school year, Dak Mai Secondary and High School has 685 students, of which ethnic minority students account for 57.4%. Grade 12 has 69 students, of which 54 are in difficult circumstances and 37 are ethnic minorities. This poses a significant challenge for the teaching staff when it comes to designing teaching methods suitable for the uneven abilities of students, including Geography.
Teachers and students of Dak Mai Secondary and High School speed up review
Mr. Chau Van Hoa, a Geography teacher, shared: “With the new exam program, students are not allowed to use Atlases in the exam room. This is a big challenge for Geography, because Atlases are a very effective support tool. Therefore, we have instructed students to replace it by memorizing key data to cope when entering the exam room. Up to this point, students who have registered to take the Geography exam have also grasped the basic knowledge.”
Not only focusing on expertise, the school's Board of Directors also actively coordinates with parents to accompany the students. Mr. Vu Ngoc Sinh, the school's principal, said: "After each semester, we organize a preliminary review to evaluate the quality and adjust the teaching plan accordingly. In particular, the school organizes a meeting for parents of grade 12 students early to provide timely information, creating close coordination between the school and families in supporting students entering the exam."

This year’s exam brings with it a lot of pressure, especially the innovation in the format and structure of the exam. However, with a sense of responsibility, constant effort and belief in their students, the teachers here are doing everything they can to help each student confidently enter the exam.
