Le Thi Rieng High School won first prize overall.

After four days of intense competition, the closing ceremony of the first Ca Mau Provincial High School National Defense and Security Education Sports Festival 2026 was held on the afternoon of April 8th at the Regional Defense Command 1 - Bac Lieu.

• Opening Ceremony of the First Ca Mau Province High School Students' National Defense and Security Education Sports Festival
• Strengthening the character of young people through the National Defense and Security Sports Festival.

The Organizing Committee awarded 29 team prizes and 185 individual prizes to teams and individuals with outstanding achievements in the competition categories.

Le Thi Rieng High School excellently won first place overall; Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School came in second. In addition, there were 2 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, and Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Huu, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, presented the overall team awards to the units that achieved high results at the sports competition.

The sports festival attracted more than 750 students from 53 high schools in the province, with many diverse competitions such as: drill and formation, squad formation, disassembling and assembling AK submachine guns, grenade throwing, armed running, and first aid and casualty evacuation techniques.

Representatives from the Provincial Military Command presented awards to athletes who achieved outstanding results in the competition.

According to the judges' assessment, throughout the competition, the teams demonstrated a serious spirit, solidarity, and gave their best effort.

Many of the competition entries demonstrated high professional quality, reflecting the effectiveness of teaching and learning the subject of National Defense and Security Education in schools.

The Organizing Committee presented awards to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

The sports festival is not only an opportunity for students to hone their skills and character; it also contributes to raising awareness of responsibility and fostering patriotism among the younger generation.
