Enhancing the role of strategic information agencies in national digital transformation.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Comrade Vu Viet Trang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Party Agencies, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director General of the Vietnam News Agency, and Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, emphasized that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always paid special attention to the development of science and technology, considering it an important driving force for the cause of national construction and development. Inheriting that ideology, in the current period, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation has identified science and technology as one of the strategic pillars to lead the country into a new era of development.

According to Director General Vu Viet Trang, science and technology are developing at an unprecedented pace. Artificial intelligence, big data, semiconductors, quantum technology, biotechnology, and the digital economy are no longer stories of the future, but are directly shaping the competitiveness and position of each nation. As the leading national news agency, VNA needs to continue to lead in providing strategic, in-depth, and highly valuable information.
For many years, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) has strived to affirm its role as a strategic and reliable information agency of the Party and the State. The launch of the special issue "Technology and the Future" is a concrete manifestation of this spirit, in the context of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party and other strategic resolutions that identify science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key drivers for rapid and sustainable national development in the coming years. In particular, the launch of this special issue on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth further enhances the significance of the event. This is not only a professional activity of a news agency, but also reflects the spirit of learning, innovation, and the aspiration to contribute of news agency journalists.
General Director of VNA, Vu Viet Trang, commended the Party Committee of the World News Editorial Board for their efforts in developing and launching the publication on this particularly significant occasion; he requested the unit to continue focusing on selecting and editing content in a scientific and in-depth manner, closely adhering to the practical development of the country and the needs of policy-making officials and the key target audience of the special issue.
Affirming that the digital era is opening up many great opportunities while also posing numerous new challenges, Director General Vu Viet Trang emphasized that revolutionary journalism in general and VNA in particular need to continue to maintain their pioneering role on the information front, accompanying the country in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
