According to information from the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, the weather in all regions of the country will change significantly in the coming days, with the North experiencing a new heatwave starting around June 1st.
Specifically, from the night of May 28th to May 30th, the Northern and North Central regions of Vietnam will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain, mainly concentrated in the late afternoon and evening. From May 30th onwards, the rain will decrease and the weather will turn sunny.

Notably, the meteorological agency predicts that from approximately June 1st to 3rd, the midland and lowland areas of Northern Vietnam are likely to experience widespread heatwaves. Sunny weather will persist throughout the day, with some areas experiencing intense heat.
In the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue City, the weather in the coming days will generally be sunny, with some areas experiencing hot weather. From June 1st, this area is also likely to experience widespread hot weather.
Meanwhile, the area from Quang Tri to Da Nang City and the eastern parts of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will experience hot weather on May 29th, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and night.
The South Central coastal region will continue to experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy rain in the south. From June 1st, the weather will turn sunny, with some areas experiencing hot weather; however, scattered thunderstorms are still possible in the late afternoon and evening.
In the Central Highlands and Southern Vietnam, meteorological agencies forecast continued scattered showers and thunderstorms. Specifically, Lam Dong and Southern Vietnam may experience moderate rain from the night of May 30th to 31st, with localized heavy rain, concentrated in the afternoon and evening.
The meteorological agency notes that during thunderstorms across the country, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind, and people should proactively take preventive measures.
