At the meeting, delegates watched a traditional film about the Military Region 3 and reviewed the history and achievements of the army and people of Military Region 3 in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

The Commander of Military Region 3 informed the delegates about the main features of the political , economic, and social situation of the localities in the stationed area, the outstanding results in performing the military and defense tasks of the Military Region 3's Armed Forces in the past time and the directions and tasks in the coming period.

Over the years, officers and soldiers of Military Region 3 have always promoted their traditions, comprehensively completed their tasks, and many tasks were completed well; national defense and security in the area were maintained; the overall strength and combat readiness of Military Region 3's military were improved; the situation in localities, agencies and units was stable; the relationship between the Party Committee and the Military Region 3 Command with local Party committees, authorities and organizations in the area was increasingly close, with timely and effective coordination in implementing tasks; defense foreign affairs activities were carried out at all levels with good results, contributing to maintaining security on the border.
