The system shutdown was implemented in a planned manner, divided into different phases to minimize the impact on taxpayers as well as coordinating units.

Accordingly, the downtime to convert the application system from the main data center environment to the backup data center environment and vice versa includes the e-invoice application, e-tax service and transmission axis.

Specifically, the electronic invoice application will be suspended from 0:00 to 4:00 on May 24 and from 0:00 to 4:00 on June 14. The electronic tax service application and the transmission axis will be suspended from 18:00 on May 23 to 16:00 on May 25 and from 18:00 on June 13 to 16:00 on June 15.

In addition, the time the Tax Department's application system is operated at the backup data center with performance reaching 70% compared to the main data center includes: Electronic invoice application from 4:00 a.m. on May 24 to 0:00 a.m. on June 14. Electronic tax service application and transmission axis is from 4:00 p.m. on May 25 to 6:00 p.m. on June 13.

The Tax Department's application system will resume operation on the main data center with the electronic invoice application from 4:00 a.m. on June 14; the electronic tax service application and transmission axis from 4:00 p.m. on June 15.

The Tax Department also noted that during the suspension period, the following applications will be temporarily unavailable: Electronic invoices; Electronic tax services for businesses (eTax), individuals (iCanhan), mobile devices (eTax Mobile); Information portals: E-commerce, Foreign suppliers, National public services, Ministry of Finance , provincial level.

At the same time, many agencies and organizations that have data links with the tax industry will also have their information exchange interrupted.

Previously, from 5:00 p.m. on March 12 to 8:00 a.m. on March 17, the Tax Department also temporarily suspended a number of electronic tax systems to upgrade and convert when rearranging tax agencies.
