The 60th anniversary celebration of Sam Son city and the opening of the 2023 Sea Tourism Festival will take place on Saturday evening (April 22) at the Sam Son Sea Square stage.
The program is broadcast live on VTV1 at 8:00 p.m. and rebroadcast on Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station.
With the theme "Sam Son: Sublimation and Shine", the opening night of this year's Sea Tourism Festival featured the participation of famous music stars.
The art program has the participation of many famous artists.
Besides the lyrical musical performances praising the beauty of the homeland, country and Thanh land performed by singers Tan Nhan, Luong Nguyet Anh, Le Anh Dung, Bui Le Man...; the program also featured the appearance of top singers in showbiz such as Thu Minh, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Tung Duong, Dong Hung, Oplus group...
According to the organizers, the event stage was elaborately staged, inspired by the Ho Dynasty Citadel - a world cultural heritage of Thanh Hoa recognized by UNESCO.
The modern lighting system will create outstanding effects, illuminating the magnificent stage and large square space, which in the future will be the gathering place for Thanh Hoa's leading cultural - artistic - sports events and national events.
This year's Sea Tourism Festival is associated with a memorable milestone in the history of formation and development of Sam Son, which is the 60th anniversary of the city's establishment.
Through special performances, the organizers want to introduce the changes of Sam Son as well as praise the beauty and long-standing cultural and historical values of Thanh land.
Revealing the magnificent stage of the opening event of the sea festival
The 15-minute fireworks display at the end of the program will light up the Sam Son beach square, opening a vibrant summer.
Over the course of more than half a century, Sam Son has developed rapidly, transforming completely in terms of infrastructure and tourism services with the participation of major investors.
Especially Sun Group Corporation, although only set foot in Thanh Hoa for more than 2 years, has created many impressions on tourism in Sam Son.
Notably, the Sea Square and the impressively designed festival landscape axis can accommodate up to 10,000 people. This is also the venue for the successful opening night of the Sam Son Sea Tourism Festival for 3 consecutive years from 2021 to present.
In addition, the commercial and resort urban areas invested by Sun Group are also nearing completion, bringing a new civilized and modern look to Sam Son.
Many new experiences for tourists
The festival’s opening event will kick off the vibrant summer tourist season of the coastal city of Sam Son. On the night of April 22, a water music show sponsored by Sun Group will be launched at the Sea Square area and will last until the end of the summer to serve visitors.
This is a sophisticated combination of music and light, using German water spray technology with 300 nozzles, following many different themes: Sublimation of light, Sunshine rendezvous, Symphony of the sea... bringing to the people and tourists new experiences appearing for the first time in Sam Son.
Water music show will be a new tourism product of Sam Son, starting from April 22.
It is expected that each water music show will last 15 minutes, taking place at fixed times of 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays (except for the end-of-month holidays, it will be performed continuously from April 29 to May 2).
This year, Sun Group Corporation continues to accompany the locality to organize the Street Carnival Festival scheduled to take place in June - July.
Participating in the event are domestic and foreign dancers, promising to stir up the colorful festival atmosphere as well as attract tourists to Sam Son.
Along with that, other activities such as the 5th Open Cycling Race, Banh Chung - Banh Day Festival, Cau Ngu - Swimming Festival, National Beach Wrestling Championship... will take place throughout the summer, creating attractiveness for Sam Son tourism, aiming to welcome 7.2 million visitors this summer.
In particular, with the official operation of the sea square and the largest boulevard in Vietnam, Sam Son city will have a new public space compared to previous years.
Like famous squares in big cities around the world, this will be an attractive space for entertainment, shopping, and experiences, meeting the diverse needs of residents and tourists, helping to solve the problem of lack of entertainment and tourism products in this famous coastal city.
