At the meeting, delegates listened to the presentation and draft Resolution on the policy of arranging administrative units at provincial and communal levels in Tuy Phong district. The District People's Council discussed and voted to pass the Resolution.
Accordingly, the District People's Council approved the policy of merging Binh Thuan province, Lam Dong province, Dak Nong province into a new province called Lam Dong province with a natural area of 24,233.1 km2 and a population of 3,324,400 people. The administrative - political center is located in Lam Dong province.

The meeting resolved to approve the policy of rearranging and reorganizing commune-level administrative units of Binh Thuan province in 2025 in Tuy Phong district. After the rearrangement, Tuy Phong district will have 4 new commune-level administrative units reorganized on the basis of merging existing communes and towns. Specifically as follows:
The new Vinh Hao commune was formed from the merger of Vinh Tan commune and Vinh Hao commune with a natural area of 138.58 km2 and a population of 15,509 people. The administrative - political center is located in Vinh Hao commune today.
The new Lien Huong commune was formed from the merger of Phuoc The commune, Phu Lac commune, Lien Huong town and Binh Thanh commune with a natural area of 128.23 km2 and a population of 70,737 people. The administrative - political center is located in the current Lien Huong town.
The new Tuy Phong commune was formed on the basis of merging Phan Dung commune and Phong Phu commune (after adjusting a part of the natural area of 7 km², population of 1,078 people from Nha Me village of Phong Phu commune to Chi Cong commune). After the arrangement, Tuy Phong commune has an area of 444.10 km², population of 9,510 people, the administrative center is located in the current Phong Phu commune.
The new Phan Ri Cua commune was formed from the merger of Phan Ri Cua town, Hoa Minh commune and Chi Cong commune (including a natural area of 07 km2, population of 1,078 people of Nha Me village, Phong Phu commune). The new Phan Ri Cua commune has an area of 67.67 km², population of 86,813 people, the administrative center is located in the current Phan Ri Cua town.
At the end of the session, Tuy Phong District People's Council assigned the District People's Committee to urgently complete the dossier, report and submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
