Vietnam women's volleyball team excited to go to Thailand to attend world tournament

On the morning of August 20, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team left for Thailand, ready to take on big challenges at the 2025 World Championship.

Members of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team arrived at Noi Bai airport ( Hanoi ) at 7am to complete procedures.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team's flight took off at 10:30. After arriving in Bangkok, Thanh Thuy and her teammates continued to Phuket - where the tournament took place.

Before the departure date, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had a change in personnel when opposing player Nguyen Bich Tuyen suddenly withdrew. Thus, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet only had 13 athletes left for the journey to the 2025 World Championship.

Because according to the regulations, teams are only allowed to replace players in the Libero position, Coach Tuan Kiet decided not to call anyone else to the team. This is a disadvantage for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team compared to its opponents.

However, coach Tuan Kiet affirmed that the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has the best preparation, and the absence of Bich Tuyen does not affect the playing style much.

With Bich Tuyen not playing, this is an opportunity for opposite Hoang Kieu Trinh.

The World Cup takes place from August 22 to September 7, bringing together 32 competing teams.

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is in Group G with Poland, Germany and Kenya.
