On March 28, Mr. Pham Khac Phara, Chairman of the People's Committee of Pha Dai Ward, Ha Tien City, Kien Giang Province, stated that the more than 3km long Nui Den coastal road is the most beautiful road in Ha Tien City and has become a popular destination for many young people. The Nui Den bypass road is scheduled to be put into operation in early 2024.
The entire route is lined with winding rows of casuarina trees along the coastline, with a mountainside on one side and the southwestern coast on the other. Sidewalks are also provided on both sides for tourists to stroll and admire the sea.
Tourists flocked to Mount Den to visit, take photos, and swim in the sea, so many locals opened shops and restaurants to serve them.
Currently, the local authorities have coordinated with relevant agencies to promote environmental hygiene in this area and have signed a contract with a company to collect garbage.
"This road is usually crowded and bustling from around 4 PM until evening. The Phao Dai Ward also regularly checks and reminds people not to encroach on the road and sidewalks to ensure traffic safety, but in some places, people still don't strictly comply," Mr. Phara said.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Quyen, director of the Ha Tien City Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, in the first three months of 2024, Ha Tien City welcomed nearly 865,000 tourists, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year.
"We consider the Nui Den coastal road to be the most beautiful road in Ha Tien City to date. The plan includes developing an eco-tourism area in this region. Investing in this road serves multiple purposes, both attracting investment and connecting areas for tourism development," Ms. Quyen said.
