Stirring clip of teacher using hands and objects to impact preschool children

(NLDO)- The online community in Phu Quoc was stirred up by clips of a kindergarten teacher using her hands and objects to impact children during class.

On the afternoon of March 22, on the social networking site Facebook, which has tens of thousands of followers in Phu Quoc, many clips appeared of some teachers at a kindergarten using their hands and objects to continuously impact the children during class.

The actions of the teachers in the clip were considered offensive and anti -educational , causing outrage in public opinion.

The location of the incident in the clips was later identified as Duong Dong Kindergarten (Duong Dong Ward, Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province). The clips also recorded the time of the incident in February and March 2025.

On the same day, social media in Phu Quoc continued to see a message, believed to be from a teacher named HN, texting H.'s mother, apologizing and admitting her wrongdoings, hoping for the family's understanding; and asking for the family's address to come and talk directly.

On the morning of March 23, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Principal of Duong Dong Kindergarten - confirmed to reporters that there was an incident of teachers physically impacting preschool children as shown in the posted clips.

"Because they want the children to obey, the teachers use deterrent measures. The objects that the teachers use to influence the children are all made of foam, not causing any harm to the children. Initially, the authorities also worked with the teachers and the school and confiscated these objects. However, it must be admitted that this way of educating is offensive and more or less psychologically traumatizes the children. The school accepts responsibility and promptly reports the entire incident to superiors for further handling," said Ms. Ha.

On the same day, the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Quoc City said that he had received information from clips appearing on social networks and requested the principal of Duong Dong Kindergarten to report the entire incident no later than March 24.
