According to the Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Fisheries of Tuyen Quang province, African swine fever has been gradually controlled. However, the risk of re-outbreak is still very high, especially in areas with large pig herds, areas with previous outbreaks or where farming conditions still pose risks.

Mr. Le Hai Nam, Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Fisheries of Tuyen Quang province, said that the unit is coordinating with communes and wards to deploy 64 inspection teams and support teams in areas with complicated epidemic developments. Communes and wards with African swine fever that have declared an epidemic have established a Steering Committee, mobile team, inspection team, statistical team and organized destruction according to regulations.
For communes and villages that have not recorded African swine fever or have not had a new case in 21 days, the specialized sector requires continued close monitoring of pig herds; maintaining hygiene, disinfecting and sterilizing barns. Households whose pigs were culled are advised not to rush to repopulate their herds, in order to minimize the risk of disease outbreaks.
